Comment by JJ Hornblass on October 5, 2012 at 10:55am: Our prep work is heating up for the Summit, and I was surprised by a US new car sales forecast I received this week in advance of the event. While YOY sales numbers for 2012 are strong -- Bill Strauss of the Chicago Fed said he was particularly impressed, so far, by the second half of 2012 -- IHS Global has a slowing growth rate for 2013. Strauss was surprised by that, and I was, too. This deserves greater discussion, which we'll do at the Summit.
