World Omni Picks CGI Group for Collection Technology

In an effort to optimize collections while reducing operating costs, World Omni Financial Corp. has signed a seven-year, multi-million dollar contract to implement CGI Group Inc.'s comprehensive collections and recovery managed service, CGI Collections360.

CGI Group is a provider of information technology and business process services. As of Sept. 30, CGI's revenue was $4.3 billion.

OMG. U O $$$. Pls Pay ASAP

I'm very much a creature of habit, but I've never been satisfied with the status quo as an answer for why or how something is done a certain way. Just another loose strand in the fabric that makes me me, I guess.

CPS in Hot Water for Collection Efforts

A federal judge in Illinois has sent to trial a collection case involving subprime lender Consumer Portfolio Services. U.S. District Judge John Grady sided with plaintiffs Roslyn Griffith and Jerret Cain, who claimed that CPS used an autodialer to contact their cell phones with unauthorized calls and text messages.

GMAC Servicing Unit to Shed 13% of Tenn. Staff

GMAC subsidiary Semperian LLC will lay off 45 employees in its Knoxville, Tenn., office by yearend in a move to “reduce costs and gain efficiencies,” GMAC spokesman Mike Stoller told the Knoxville News Sentinel. About 300 employees will remain.

BMW Auto Portfolio Sold

A portfolio of 45,000 auto loans originated in 2007 by BMW Financial Services and subsequently charged off by the captive was sold this week.

The price was not disclosed.

The portfolio, which was sold by Collection Services Inc., a brokerage firm, had loans originated nationwide and was scrubbed for inaccurate informations within 14 days of the sale.
