American Credit Acceptance names Bynum CEO Subprime automotive lender American Credit Acceptance promoted Jason Bynum to chief executive and Tori Lawling to chief originations officer. He was chief operating officer and chief originations officer for American Credit Acceptance (ACA) before his promotion. He joined ACA in March 2010 as senior vice president of originations when ACA acquired Stewart Auto Finance, where he held operating roles, according to LinkedIn . Lawling has spent her entire 12-year career at ACA. She has been a product owner, director of funding and underwriting, senior vice president of originations and a business analyst. Raymer is now head of auto at Upgrade, Inc. Financial service industry veteran Scott Raymer has joined financier Upgrade Inc. as head of auto, according to LinkedIn. Raymer is joining San Francisco-based Upgrade Inc. following more than four years as president of powersports lender RumbleOn Finance . He has spent more than 23 years working in financial services, including automotive, powersports and cosmetic surgery lending. His past experience includes CEO of CRB AUTO , chief operating officer at CIG Financial, president at Surgeons Choice Finance and executive vice president at Long Beach Acceptance Corp. Raymer also serves as chief operating officer and partner at ConsumerXpress , according to LinkedIn. Ally Financial names Hutchinson CFO [caption id="attachment_57336145" align="alignright" width="200"] Russell Hutchinson, Ally Financial, Chief Financial Officer [/caption] Ally Financial named former Goldman Sachs executive Russell Hutchinson as chief financial officer after Jennifer La Claire left the position five months ago. Hutchinson will take over as CFO on July 3, replacing interim CFO Bradley Brown . Brown will return to his position as corporate treasurer full-time. Hutchinson had been at Goldman Sachs since 2001, where he was chief operating officer for global mergers and acquisitions, an investment banker and managing director and chief strategy officer, according to LinkedIn. Sonic Automotive names 1st chief HR officer Sonic Automotive in February named Angela Broadway the company’s inaugural chief human resources officer. She will be responsible for all human resources operations within Sonic Automotive and EchoPark Automotive . She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from UNC-Charlotte and an MBA from Strayer University with a concentration in human resources. He will oversee M&A, real estate and construction activities. Albertine has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive and financial services industries, previously serving as vice president of strategic initiatives and corporate development at MileOne Auto Group and held senior positions at Consumer Edge Research and Stifel Nicolaus & Co , according to a Group 1 release. Group 1 operates 204 dealerships in the U.S. and U.K. Alliance for Automotive Innovation names Honda exec as board chair The Alliance for Automotive Innovation , a trade association representing automakers and parts manufacturers, has named Bob Nelson , executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co. , the association’s board chair for 2023. Nelson succeeds Kumar Galhotra , president of Ford Blue . Nelson, who joined Honda in 1987, has held leadership roles across the company’s purchasing and manufacturing areas and has been focused on growing Honda’s North American operations, according to an Alliance release. Jose Munoz , president and global COO of Hyundai Motor Co. , will serve as vice chair. The Alliance for Automotive Innovation addresses policy related to electrification, automation and connectivity. Karen Abramson named to lead new division at Wolters Kluwer Software solutions and services provider Wolters Kluwer has announced three new divisional chief executive appointments.

Karen Abramson , formerly chief executive of tax and accounting, has been appointed chief executive of the new corporate performance (CP) and ESG (environmental, social and governance) division.

Jason Marx , who previously led North America tax and accounting, has been named chief executive of tax and accounting, while Steve Meirink , who previously led compliance solutions, was named chief executive of financial and corporate compliance, according to a release.

The appointments come after Wolters Kluwer's February announcement that it would be creating the CP and ESG division to meet growing demand for integrated financial, operational and ESG performance management and reporting solutions. The unit will bring together Wolters Kluwer's global software businesses focused on corporate performance management, environmental health and safety, and risk.

Mazda appoints new NA CEO Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) has announced the appointment of Tom Donnelly as the company’s new president and chief executive. Donnelly, currently the senior vice president of retail operations, will assume his role on April 1. The announcement was made following Mazda's decision to appoint Masahiro Moro as the new president and CEO of Mazda Motor Corp .

[caption id="attachment_57336146" align="alignright" width="148"] Tom Donnelly, MNAO, President and CEO [/caption] Jeff Guyton , who serves as president and chief executive of MNAO, will become Mazda Motor’s chief financial officer and a representative director of the company based in Hiroshima, Japan, in June. Guyton will be responsible for overseeing operations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Colombia markets. Donnelly will report to Guyton.

MNAO announced several additional changes to its leadership team effective April 1. Ryuichi Umeshita will oversee Mazda's sales operations in Canada, Mexico and Colombia, as well as manufacturing operations in the region while continuing to serve as MNAO's executive vice president and assistant to the president, according to a release. Theresa Barrera was named senior vice president of human resources and while Tim Manning was named senior vice president of retail operations, overseeing U.S. vehicle sales, aftersales and U.S. regional office operations. Stefan Meisterfeld was named vice president of strategic planning.

Nikola appoints new CFO Nikola Corp. , a company focused on zero-emissions transportation and energy supply and infrastructure solutions, has announced that Anastasiya "Stasy" Pasterick , Nikola's vice president, corporate controller, will succeed Kim Brady as CFO, who is retiring April 7.

Pasterick will be responsible for leading Nikola's finance and accounting team, including investor relations, strategic finance and treasury, according to a Nikola release. She joined Nikola in 2019 and played a key role in executing the organization's SPAC merger in 2020.
