Come July 13, Subaru of America Inc.’s Central Region plans to set a Guinness World Record for the “Largest Parade of Subaru Cars.” The parade of 500 Subarus is meant to break the automaker’s existing record ― set in July 2009 ― of 339 vehicles. Registered participants will pay a $10 registration fee, the proceeds of which will go to charity, and will wind down a 4.2-mile route through Itasca, Ill.
With a dedicated audience of Subaru enthusiasts, the parade seems like a perfect opportunity for the automaker to tout its vehicles ― and financing opportunities. Back in 2009, parade participants came from across the U.S. and even from Europe.
Chase Auto Finance serves as the private-label financier for Subaru. It provides wholesale, retail, and lease financing under the brand Subaru Motors Finance. With proper planning, maybe the parade next month will become the world-record financing event, too.
