Stellantis CFO Doug Ostermann will also lead Stellantis Financial Services

Stellantis named Doug Ostermann as head of Stellantis Financial Services , according to a LinkedIn post he shared Aug. 1. This new appointment is an expansion of Ostermann’s role as chief financial officer at parent company Stellantis. His career spans 30 years at several auto manufacturers, including General Motors and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles . “Not only is [SFS] a great business, it is also a powerful enabler of growth and plays a critical role in providing our customers the freedom of choice they deserve, through innovative financing,” Ostermann said in his post. SFS was the 28th-largest auto lender by outstandings at yearend 2024, with a portfolio of $12.8 billion, according to the latest Big Wheels Rankings data . Well Fargo CEO Scharf to be board chairman The Wells Fargo Board of Directors on July 31 announced its intention to name Chief Executive and President Charlie Scharf chairman of the board. [caption id="attachment_58354285" align="alignleft" width="105"] Charlie Scharf[/caption] The appointment recognizes Scharf’s transformation of the bank since his October 2019 appointment to CEO, according to a company release. Along with the appointment, Scharf received $30 million in restricted share rights and more than 1 million stock options. Scharf has held several leadership roles at major banks, including JP Morgan Chase , BNY Mellon and Bank One . Wells Fargo’s auto originations jumped 86.5% year over year to $6.9 billion in the second quarter and the bank’s auto portfolio sat at $42.9 billion. The bank was the 11th-largest auto lender by outstandings at yearend 2024, according to Big Wheels. Jaguar taps Tata Motor’s Balaji as CEO Jaguar Land Rover has named PB Balaji CEO, effective in November. He succeeds Adrian Mardell , who will retire after three years in that role and 35 years with the company, according to an Aug. 4 company release. His tenure includes leadership roles at Unilever, Singapore and Hindustan Unilever Limited , according to LinkedIn. TMNA announces executive changes Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) on Aug. 12 announced several leadership moves. Mike Sweers , executive vice president of research and development and chief technology officer, will retire Sept. 12, according to a company release. He has been with Toyota since 1990. Keita Moritsu will be promoted to senior vice president of research and development and chief technology officer at TMNA on Sept. 8, reporting to TMNA President and CEO Tetsuo Ogawa . He is a senior executive in research and development for the company and joined Toyota Motor Corp. in 1999. Toyota Motor North America’s sales rose 19.9% YoY to 218,022 vehicles in July. Toyota Motor’s Janette Hostettler to retire Janette Hostettler , group vice president at TMNA and vice president of manufacturing for Toyota Kentucky, is set to retire on Sept. 15 after 25 years with the company. TMNA has not yet announced her successor. Open Lending names Massimo Monaco as CFO Automation fintech Open Lending named Massimo Monaco its chief financial officer, effective Aug.18. [caption id="attachment_58354283" align="alignright" width="118"] Massimo Monaco[/caption] Monaco joins Open Lending after serving as CFO of mortgage lender Arc Home since 2018, according to a company release. A 20-year veteran of the finance industry, Monaco’s background spans mortgage lending and financial services. He has also held finance leadership roles at American Financial Resources and PHH Corp . Austin, Texas-based Open Lending’s total certified loans declined 8.5% YoY to 26,522 units in Q2, according to the fintech’s earnings supplement. Cox Automotive’s Mills to retire Amy Mills , executive vice president and chief strategy officer at Cox Automotive , will retire at the end of the year.
