Two Auto Finance News stories won awards today for editorial excellence.
The awards, known as Azbee Awards, were presented by the American Society of Business Publication Editors and recognize outstanding work by business publications.
AFN won a Northeast Region gold medal in the innovation category for its story, “Auto lenders transform customer experience with Agentic AI” that was published March 10, 2025. The article was written by Editor Amanda Harris and former Associate Editor Ash Savage.
And the team of Harris, Senior Associate Editor Aidan Bush and Senior Associate Editor Truth Headlam won a Northeast Region silver medal in the online breaking news category for coverage of the collapse of Tricolor Auto Acceptance.
“Our goal with Auto Finance News is to provide exceptional journalism to the industry, and these awards are evidence of that,” said JJ Hornblass, chief executive of Royal Media, parent company of AFN. “I am proud of our efforts and the teams that won these awards.”
The regional finalists in all categories advance to the national competition, with the winners being announced April 22.
